Convention centers all over the world are racing to adapt to become great hybrid event venues.
Convention centers with purpose built facilities for virtual events or event broadcasting were a rare find pre-Covid-19, but today the category is expanding rapidly in response to huge demand for hybrid events.
As companies and associations return to in-person conventions in 2021, online/in-person hybrid events have become an ideal solution for organizations looking to return to in-person events while providing an alternative for those who would prefer to attend digitally. Event venue sourcing focusing on this hybrid event capacity has become more important than ever as companies seek to deliver virtual and hybrid events with high production value to keep attendee engagement as high as possible.
While there is still debate on the longevity of online event elements once face-to-face interactions are no longer restricted, many convention centers across the world have lost no time in transitioning their infrastructure to accommodate a virtual component for business events.
ICCS (International Convention Centre, Sydney) is no exception and now offers a dedicated media studio for broadcast quality recording services, live streaming and virtual event solutions. The Media Studio features green screen technology which allows for visual integration of presenters into customizable background images.
