Event registration and onsite check-in systems are managing the vaccination of more than 15,000 frontline health workers.
Cvent, a market-leading meetings, events technology provider, has announced that the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), is utilizing Cvent’s event management platform to streamline its efforts to vaccinate more than 15,000 frontline health workers.
Why we are excited
As experts on the Cvent platform, our team have been dreaming up creative ways of utilizing this powerful software for many years. From managing large corporate education programs to keeping track of bids at a charity auction, we have used Cvent in many weird and wonderful ways. Oh, and we have used it for its intended purpose – managing events – as well!
How the event tech is helping
We are excited to see that URMC is using multiple Cvent solutions to ensure the safe distribution of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to its employees. This may just be our favorite creative way of using Cvent yet! The medical centre is using Cvent’s registration platform to allow employees to register for their vaccination and they have set daily capacity limits to control the number of staff who can register to be vaccinated each day. When employees arrive on site for their vaccination, they will use Cvent’s OnArrival system for touchless check-in and management will have access to real-time reporting of vaccination data.
A good news story for events!
The Covid-19 Pandemic has been a particularly tough time for the events industry and it is inspiring to see event industry technology and skills being so cleverly utilized to streamline the process of bringing the pandemic to and end.
