Sustainability Deal between Konduko and ETL
Leading event supplier Konduko have announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Event Tech Live to support annual ETL shows in Las Vegas and London.
The deal includes support for exciting new features like the Event Technology Marketplace aimed at providing a resource to buyers.
However, we are even more excited about their focus on sustainability in the event space. For example, providing easy access to digital marketing materials to minimize paper use. We look forward to more deals like this as sustainable events become the new normal.
Two acquisitions from Bizzabo aim to improve event content production
Klik and TeeVid have been bought by event technology company Bizzabo, aiming to build out the capacity of the event production suite.
Klik became an industry-leading maker of wearable smart technology to power live events. TeeVid brings the video production technology expertise that is in such demand as hybrid events and virtual components become a staple of the industry.
We expect to see lots more acquisitions like this as platform providers compete to provide the best offering in an increasingly competitive event technology marketplace. If all the options seem a bit daunting, you can always ask an expert. Check out our guide to picking an event registration platform to see what kind of questions you should ask.
IBTM World kicks off in Barcelona
Global virtual event experience IBTM World is getting started this month on the back of a successful return of its live component in Barcelona after a two-year hiatus. At least 1,400 buyers and 1,200 exhibitors got together and sat down for 30,000 one-on-one meetings, as well as seminars and educational sessions.
The virtual event will feature an interactive platform allowing participants to take advantage of pre-event matchmaking, detailed exhibitor directors and video-meetings between buyers and suppliers. It is great to see so many familiar event industry staples returning to the calendar, especially with so many exciting new technologies enhancing the traditional corporate event experience.
They hope to help create and sustain vibrant online communities year-round and allow professionals to advance their careers and skills.
The Community Leaders Institute aims to build a network across industries to help them meet goals on everything from sustainability and resource efficiency to Corporate Social Responsibility and professional development.
