First Security Robot On Duty at HKCEC
Future attendees and exhibitors at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre might notice something unusual about some of the security staff employed by the venue. The first 5G smart security robot, “Captain C”, has been deployed, boasting a 360-degree 4k camera and a sophisticated sensor system to help it detect smoke and fire and improve attendee safety.
The recent improvements in 5G mean that Captain C will be in constant contact with operators as it patrols and monitors venue safety, freeing human security personnel for more specialized tasks. The future is here. folks!
